ECHL Suspends Corbin Baldwin, Jesse Mychan and Brandon Platt


PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Idaho’s Corbin Baldwin has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #18, Utah at Idaho, on Oct. 7.

Baldwin is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 0:26 of the first period. He was assessed a minor penalty for elbowing, which following a review of the incident, was deemed to be an illegal check to the head.

Baldwin will miss Idaho’s games vs. Norfolk on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14.

Colorado’s Jesse Mychan has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #19, Colorado at Rapid City, on Oct. 7.

Mychan is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his major penalty for slashing prior to the start of the third period.

Mychan will miss Colorado’s games vs. Utah on Oct. 13 and at Utah on Oct. 14.

Orlando’s Brandon Platt has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #15, Orlando at Florida, on Oct. 7.

Platt is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of an unpenalized infraction during the second period of the game.

Platt missed Orlando’s preseason game at Florida on Oct. 8 and will miss the next three games for which he is on an active ECHL roster.
